Hurricane Sandy

By now, you've either heard about or know someone that was effected by Hurricane Sandy.
Several of my customers, fans/followers are still dealing with the aftermath. Some friends lost everything, while others are dealing with power outages and water damage.

I am currently participating in a fundraiser being organized by a fellow Teachers Pay Teacher seller. Her friend lost everything in the Hurricane. Several TPT Sellers donated products from their stores, they are being put into a bundle and will be made available for a donation. All proceeds are being donated to her friend. This was a nice way to help someone rebuild. I will have more details on this fundraiser soon, so you can participate if you'd like.

If you are interested in donating, the Red Cross is a good place to start. There are several websites that are accepting financial contributions. There are staging areas that are collecting necessities such as toiletries, baby formula, blankets, diapers, clothing, etc. Here are a few links to get you started:

Hope for New York

*NOTE* When looking to donate, money especially, be sure to verify the source that you are sending to. It's sad, but disasters tend to bring out scam artists. Which makes it tough for legitimate organizations to receive the much needed resources.
